Paraiso: a hidden paradise in Palompon, Leyte

While everyone is going to Coron, Palawan to see the famous limestone cove, there is a similar spot in Palompon but without the big limestone cliffs and the crystal clear water and yeah its far from Coron's beauty but very much cheaper. People call it Paraiso a hidden paradise. It is just a few
kilometers from town and a little hike. You can also hire a banka or perhaps a kayak from Palompon and get there faster with a better view.

What makes it unique is upon entering the cove, you have to enter through a hill surrounded by water.

In the resort, there are several cottages, a store in which you can buy food and drinks and a toilet.

For those who want to hike or on a car, you can go through Baranggay Cantandoy. You can ask around from the locals which way to go through Paraiso. From the main road, it takes around an hour of hike to the spot. Once there, you will notice a nice view of the mountains of Palompon.
